Annotation Tools editor
Every drawing tool in the annotation editor has properties — pen width and colour, fill, drop shadow, arrow size, fonts. The Annotation Tools tab (also reachable from the gear in the annotation editor) is where you set them, separately for light and dark pictures, and save the result as a preset.
Preset, background, tool, properties
Pick a preset and a background, click a tool in the strip on the left, then change its properties on the right. The empty canvas in the middle is for trying the tool out.
- Preset — the preset you are editing. Built-in presets are read-only: the note at the bottom right says Duplicate to edit.
- Light image — edit the preset used on light pictures…
- Dark image — …or the one used on dark pictures. Each background has its own set of colours so callouts stay readable.
- Pen Width — stroke thickness for the selected tool; the slider shows the current value.
- Pen Color — click the swatch to pick a colour.
- Fill Color — for shapes. Other tools show their own properties here: arrow length and width, drop shadow, text font and border.
Saving and sharing presets
The icon buttons next to the background switch act on the preset: Save keeps your changes, Rename and Duplicate manage copies, Delete removes your own presets, and Export Preset / Import Preset write and read a preset file so a team can share one look. The preset a profile uses is chosen in the annotation editor's bottom bar.
